'Tis the season to get Married?

We all have to decide on when we want to hold our wedding and depending on what time of year you plan to marry your loved one, will ultimately determine the style of wedding you should consider having.

Summer in Australia is always a beautiful time of year, especially for the warmer weather and longer days. December - January are the peak holiday months and most destination are fairly crowded with tourists. Your friends and family are most likely away holidaying themselves.  If you are looking at a Summer wedding maybe consider a late summer wedding around February when the holidays are over.

Although summer is a gorgeous time of year, it is quite hot!  Outdoor ceremonies are most common in Summer but you will just need to make sure you choose a time of day where your guests and bridal party won't be standing or sitting for too long in the sun. Studies by the Queensland Government have found that the hottest times of the day are between 10am - 3pm.  We don't want anyone fainting or getting too burnt during the ceremony now do we? And remember the groom and groomsmen will likely be suited up from neck to toe.

The Summer season can provide some amazing location for you to have your dream wedding. There are many beautiful destinations along the east and west coast of Australia which provide gorgeous beach-side venues for ceremonies and receptions.

But lets stay away from talking too much about Summer as we are currently in Autumn and there are some fantastic bridal wear, flowers and colours to consider.
